This got me to chuckle: Bing is awesome. Yeah, it's probably not what they are talking about ZING! Take that Microsoft!
This article is very interesting but I don't think they good job of explaining why exact match is worse than partial match.
According to: http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/anchor-text-guide.html exact match anchor text isn't bad in itself, it is bad when overused. Google is trying to make it harder for link builders who are in a way trying to bypass the system Google has put in place.
